25th anniversary of the Fulbright-Masaryk Award
The flagship program of the Fulbright Commission in the Czech Republic is celebrating 25 years since its inception this October.
In the year 2000, the Fulbright Commission introduced a completely unique scholarship, named after the first Czechoslovak President, with the goal of subscribing to the principles of civil society and democratic values, which T. G. Masaryk upheld. The partner that has fully financed this program from the beginning is the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic (MŠMT).
The scholarship is intended for Czech scientists, academics, lecturers, and students who, like Masaryk, actively participate in public life and help build and solidify democratic society in our country.
Over the past 25 years, we have supported more than 300 scholarship recipients who embody the legacy of TGM.
We thank the MŠMT for their continued support and all alumni for their extraordinary work and impact!
We are proud to be a part of your story.
