Czech Fulbright Commission Program Update
The J.W. Fulbright Commission’s core programs (student and scholar programs) continue to be funded through allocations from both the Czech and U.S. governments. As far as we know, none of our core programs for the current academic year are at risk. The portion of our budget provided by the U.S. government, which was approved months ago, remains unchanged. Additionally, there is no indication that the Czech government will reduce any part of our funding for this academic year.
Current U.S. and foreign participants on Fulbright exchanges will continue and finish out their programs in keeping with the award dates on their grant documents.
Some programs directly funded through grants from the U.S. State Department or the U.S. Embassy have been suspended (this applies to the Fulbright-Masaryk Program for NGO Leaders, Fulbright Specialist Program).
Conditions of the programs for 2025-2026 are being discussed and we will post an up-date as soon as we receive clear information.
